My tribute to a remarkable man!

Journal notes……Still missed, still loved, and forever on our hearts! TODAY we celebrate your 4th Heavenly Birthday Patrick! WE know if you were here on earth there would be no special party since you certainly were not a big fan of those for yourself. I do know all your family would have called and connected with you as they did many times.

Sometimes I reminisce about all our memories together and think often of the sacrifices that you made for us. Most of all you were a visionary and always inspired us to genuinely care about people.

Remembering the words somehow that God gave me the courage to share the day of your funeral are still relevant today……

”I know we celebrated, we achieved, we endured, we compromised, and above all else we truly loved each other. Unconditional love means not expecting anything in return but cherishing the person that you love. WE HAD That!! You will always have a special place in my heart. You were an incredible man of integrity that always honored God and your family. You honored me far better than I deserved and treated me like a queen. Love requires sacrifice. Your love was selfless. I know that our love for each other was powerful and shaped both of us into the persons we have become.”

I will be forever grateful for the 50 years that we had together along with the lessons and examples you have taught our children and myself.

Love that endures forever.
