Unwavering Faith

ree

I know there are so many places to travel and if you are like me you tend to put those on your bucket list for future adventures. I would highly recommend adding Williamstown, Kentucky to journey through the Ark Encounter to your list.

People from all over the world visit the massive structure which was completed July 7, 2016. The ark is built according to the measurements written in the Bible. It is the largest timber frame free standing structure in the world.  Many of the trees used to build it were standing dead Engleman spruce that were over 200 years old from Utah. Wood from New Zealand, Colorado, and North Carolina were also in the mix. The project was designed as a ship yet built as a building.

Experiencing the Ark Encounter makes the Bible come alive and can deepen your faith. Though the story of Noah is only four chapters out of the entire Bible (Gen. 6-9), I believe it is one of the most remembered stories.

Sometimes my heart still aches for what once was in my normal happy life. I do confess I still have those moments even though I am so grateful for my life presently. You have heard, “The grass is always greener on the other side,” well let’s apply a twist to that. “The grass is greener where you water it.” I stop to think what am I presently watering? Do I water my faith to bring about remarkable results? I was so encouraged to be reminded of Noah’s extraordinary unwavering trust and obedience to God. He walked with God, he found favor in the eyes of the Lord, and he did everything just as God had commanded. (Gen. 6, and he got right to work) Do you have that kind of faith? I know I want to have undeniable faith like Noah.

Here's the truth: Joshua 1:9 reads, “Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged for the Lord, your God will be with you wherever you go. That’s a command to us to be faithful in walking with God because he has the power available to us in backing up whatever assignment he has given. You can have the unshakable steadfast courage just like Noah if you water your faith and continue to walk with God.

I think I could do better at watering, how about you?

Your friend, Sharon
